A magic 8 ball that never repeats itself.

Why AuraAsk exists

Almost everyone remembers the first time they shook a magic 8 ball. You whisper a question, tip the ball over and watch a little blue triangle float up out of the dark with an answer. It is silly and it is suspenseful at the same time. The trouble is that the original only knows twenty answers, and after a few shakes the magic wears off.

AuraAsk keeps everything we loved about that moment (the question, the shake, the reveal) and removes the ceiling. Our answer engine reads the shape of your question and composes a reply from thousands of hand-written fragments, so the orb can answer a yes-or-no question, a "when" question, a "which one" question or a question you were too nervous to type at all. No two readings are exactly alike.

What makes it different

• A living 3D orb. The pearl orb floats in a dreamlike nebula. You can tap it, drag it, flick it or physically shake your phone, and it responds with real spring physics.
• A voice from beyond. Answers are read aloud by a deep, unhurried oracle voice with a cathedral-sized echo, so the reveal feels like an event.
• A new aura every day. Every visitor in the world shares the same Today's Aura, with its own omen, energy reading, lucky number and lucky sigil.
• Rarity and collecting. Answers come in five rarities, from Common to Mythic, and each one carries a sigil you can collect in your Grimoire.
• A journal that remembers. Your readings are saved privately on your device. You can mark whether a prophecy came true and see how often the orb was right.

What AuraAsk is not

AuraAsk is entertainment. It does not predict the future, and it is not a substitute for advice from a doctor, lawyer, financial adviser, therapist or anyone else who actually knows your situation. We think of it the way people have always thought of a coin flip or a fortune cookie: a playful nudge that helps you notice what you were hoping the answer would be. If you are facing a serious decision, please talk to a real person you trust.

Your privacy

You do not need an account to use AuraAsk. Your streak, journal and collection live in your own browser, not on our servers. You can read exactly what we collect, and why, in our Privacy Policy.
